African American WW 1 veteran and racist square off

Please join critically acclaimed, award winning filmmaker (Dusable To Obama: Chicago’s Black Metropolis, Paper Trail: 100 Years of the Chicago Defender, Colorblind: Rethinking Race), Knight Fellow, and founder of Middle Passage Productions, Barbara “BA” Allen, internationally treasured songstress/philanthropist/humanitarian (Seasons of Separation, A Storm Between Two Fingers, African Buttafly, A.S.E.) and Star Search semi-finalist, Ugochi, staff reporter for the Wall Street Journal, Thomas J. Watson & Nieman fellow and author of Red Summer of 1919 and the Awakening of Black America, Cameron McWhirter, and myself, SB (ya’ll know my resume…lol), for a walking tour of Chicago’s Red summer race riots of 1919.

Cameron McWhirter and Barbara Allen will be our guides and Ugochi and I will be performing live along the route.

All funds raised will go toward the support of the upcoming film, Red Summer Winter Blues, which tells the stories of the 1919 Race Riots and the evolution of the 21st Century’s racial discord.   We’d love to see there but if you can’t make it, please consider donating to this worthy cause.  Please see details in the link below and share with others!
